Breeding Season Planner
Add every cow, ewe, doe or mare with her breeding date, or a whole group with the dates the male went in and came out. You get a sorted birth schedule, a 21-day calving distribution, and a list to print or add to your phone calendar. Everything stays in this browser; there is no account.
Paste a list from a spreadsheet
One animal per line: tag, breeding date, or group name, male in, male out. Dates like 2026-05-03 always work; for 05/03/2026 pick the date style below. A date such as 25/03/2026 can only be read one way, so it is handled automatically.
How to use it
- Choose the species, then add animals one at a time or paste a list from a spreadsheet.
- For a single breeding or AI date, leave “out” empty. For a group with a bull, ram or buck, fill in both the in and out dates.
- Adjust the gestation days per animal if you know the breed or sire runs long or short.
- Print the schedule for the barn, or download the calendar file and open it on your phone so due dates show up as reminders.
What is a 21-day calving distribution?
Cattle come into heat about every 21 days, so a calving season splits naturally into 21-day periods. The more cows that calve in the first period, the more of the herd settled on its first heat with the bull. The planner groups animals with a single breeding date into 21-day periods from the first due date, for each species.
Is my list private?
Yes. The list is saved with your browser's local storage on this device only. Clearing your browser data deletes it. Export a CSV if you want a copy.
Need one date only? Use the cow gestation calculator or the sheep lambing calculator.
